The Angouleme City Hall, pictured above, is located in one of the oldest parts of Angouleme. Build on the ancient cities keep, the most defended area of medieval fortifications, this part of town offered scenic views, fine dining, ancient architecture and narrow winding streets.

Did you know..
Angouleme was to the west of the demarcation line during World War II thus occupied by the Germans. Being on a main railway line it was of strategic importance and the scene of much activity by the French Resistance.1
