Misty and I had the luxury of borrowing an automobile from one of her kind teacher friends Jacqueline. This allowed us to explore the countryside outside Angouleme in a fashion that would have been inaccessible by train and foot.

Pictured above is a vineyard on the edge of a village/estate that lay to the south-east of Angouleme. This region was covered with the expected ancient stone structures and acres upon acres of well trimmed vineyards.
