Why France?
With the plethora of negative French stereotypes in the American consciousness this maybe a fair question, and to be honest I had my reservations about the Frenchies.Luckily I didn't allow my misgivings to keep me from visiting Misty, my love in France. Equally smart and sweet, she has been working for the last 6 months as an English assistant. This opportunity has allowed her to both hone her French and teaching skills, but also experience a country and culture that she has been fascinated by for many years.
So with love on my heals, I was off to France armed with 2 apathetic years of high-school French and a lack of fear about my apparent inability to communicate.
